Unicorn Vodka

A vodka based alternative to the flavoured shimmery gins that are ever popular.

Equipment

  • 1 1.5l sterilised jar
  • Scales
  • Tbsp measure
  • Jug
  • Funnel
  • Strainer
  • Nice Bottle

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Raspberries
  • 250 g Caster Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1-2 tbsp Edible Shimmer
  • 1 l Vodka

Instructions
 

  • Tip the raspberries, sugar, and vanilla into the sterilised jar.
  • Pour half the vodka into the jar. Seal tightly, then give it a shake to evenly distribute the sugar. Open the jar and add the remaining vodka
  • Make sure the jar is sealed and store in a cool dark place, turning/shaking once a day for the first week. After 2-3 weeks you can strain the vodka.
  • Add the shimmer to the nice bottle. Pour the vodka into the nice bottle. The vodka will keep its pink colour for a few months, but will remain drinkable for up to 2 years.
